Away from the hustle and bustle of town and the buzzing Abell Point Marina is a little slice of paradise with a laid back vibe that also happens to be our home, Port of Airlie.

Currently as I type this I am looking out the door of the gallery admiring the sunny weather and gentle breeze blowing through the arms of the marina and contemplating which local eatery I will eat at for lunch today. Yup, Port of Airlie is one of the nicest places to visit in town and here is why;

Denman Cellars

As neighbours of Above & Below Gallery we are regular lunch guests. Denman is a family owned and operated business with great food and the best beer selection in town! They are in the process of opening up Whitsunday Islands Brewing Co. (yup, the Whitsunday’s first brewery!) and we are so excited to taste their beers!

Walters Lounge

This is Airlie Beach’s number 1 rated restaurant and for good reason. An ever-changing cocktail list, amazing food and a boutique wine selection – we love Walter’s!

La Marina

Waterfront dining with pizza and wine? Yes, please! A modern Italian menu and homemade pasta. La Marina also serves up a mean as breakfast.  

La Gelateria

Authentic, homemade, Italian gelato in the Whitsundays! With over 30 flavours this is a must while at Port of Airlie – and who doesn’t love ice cream?! .

This needs little explanation – like all coffee clubs in Australia all you favourites are on the menu!

The newest kid on the block the Fish Bar does a mean fish and chips with local seafood.
